Release Notes v0.96
Release v0.96 brings per-branch ephemeral environments that inherit from a base environment, the Praxis CLI on Windows with a no-sudo install script for Linux and macOS, and Praxis and raptor that keep themselves up to date with one consolidated skill for your AI assistants.
✨ What's New
Per-Branch Ephemeral Environments
Spin up a short-lived environment for each branch or pull request that inherits the base environment's deployed outputs and deploys only the services you changed. Each ephemeral environment gets its own namespace, copies the base environment's variables, secrets and overrides, and mirrors the base's on/off state. Register the image you built with --artifact, and use -w to wait for the releases it starts. Praxis chat includes a guided workflow that takes you from first create through CI to teardown.
Praxis CLI on Windows
Install Praxis on Windows with a single PowerShell command and use the same commands you already use on macOS and Linux. The installer needs no admin rights, and praxis login sets up raptor and your AI-assistant skills for you. Raptor itself now runs natively on Windows too.
On Linux, and on macOS without Homebrew, a new install script puts Praxis in your home folder with no sudo, so Praxis can update itself later. The Labs page now shows the right install command for your operating system.
Praxis and Raptor Keep Themselves Up to Date
Praxis now updates itself in the background after a command, using Homebrew when that is how you installed it, and upgrades raptor along with it. Raptor does the same.
Your AI assistants now get one consolidated Praxis skill in place of the previous set of separate skills. It refreshes itself whenever the Praxis binary changes, and it installs into the folders Codex, Gemini CLI and Antigravity actually read.
