Release Notes v0.95
Release v0.95 brings a one-prompt import of your existing cloud infrastructure with zero changes, Terraform module changes picked up in release preview, a unified history that diffs effective config, support for your own AWS Secrets Manager, finer-grained access controls for AI and platform features, and a simpler Praxis CLI login.
✨ What's New
Import Your Existing Infra
Bring your already-running cloud infrastructure under Facets management with zero changes: resources move into Terraform state only when the plan proves nothing will be created, modified, or destroyed. Just one prompt, and Praxis imports your existing infrastructure onto Facets.
Module Changes in Release Preview
The release preview now also picks up any Terraform module changes when you release a resource built from that module.
Unified History with Effective-Config Versions
The History tab now tells the whole story in a single timeline. When you compare any two override versions, the diff no longer shows just the override object — it shows the effective JSON (blueprint + overrides) as it existed for each version at that point in time. You get the complete resulting configuration to compare, without the confusion of comparing overrides in isolation.
Finer-Grained Access Controls for AI and Platform Features
Roles can now be scoped to limit exactly which Kubernetes access Praxis is allowed to use. Web Component now has a read permission for accessing all the web components present in the control plane, and Praxis (from the control plane) now has a read permission for accessing the Praxis platform. This doesn't limit users from using the Praxis CLI.
A Simpler Praxis CLI Login
Logging into the Praxis CLI is more straightforward now. It used to issue a separate Praxis-only key every time; now it just uses your control-plane credentials directly, picked up automatically from your browser session. One less key to keep track of, one less thing that can fall out of sync.
📈 Enhancements
- Terraform Logs Load Without the False Alarm: The logs view now waits patiently for Terraform logs to actually start streaming, instead of flashing an error just because they took a moment to show up.
- Table Filters Survive a Refresh: Filters you apply to a resource or release table are now saved in the URL, so they stick around after a refresh and can be shared with a teammate as a link.
- Descriptions, Now on Almost Everything: The optional description field is expanding to releases, resources, environments, and more across the platform, so you can leave a note on why something exists instead of relying on its name to explain it.
- Editor No Longer Crashes on Non-String Values: The
x-ui-editorform widget now handles a non-string value gracefully instead of crashing the form.
